WATCH: DK Metcalf braves low temperatures during shirtless workout

The Seattle Seahawks are looking to play spoiler to the Kansas City Chiefs today by coming into Arrowhead Stadium and knocking them off as double-digit underdogs. The Seahawks will have to battle the frigid temperatures if they want to accomplish that but it does not appear that they are concerned, no matter how cold it might be.

Current weather conditions in Kansas City, Missouri, are 7 degrees, with a wind chill of -3 degrees. While the sun is shining, the conditions are far from ideal. However, Seattle wide receiver DK Metcalf was warming up for the game without a shirt on. Metcalf was joined in that act by a few of his fellow wide receivers.

In order for Metcalf and those receivers to succeed against the Chiefs, they will need a strong showing from quarterback Geno Smith. Selected to the Pro Bowl, Smith has had a strong season this year in the league, throwing for 3,671 yards, 26 touchdowns and eight interceptions. While it has been a strong year overall, Smith and the Seahawks have struggled as of late. Seattle has lost four of its last five and Smith has thrown four interceptions in that stretch.

While things might not be perfect for the Seahawks right now, they still have the respect of Kansas City. Head coach Andy Reid made it clear this week just how strongly he feels about the play of the Seahawks’ signal-caller.

“I’ve always been a Geno fan,” Reid said in his Tuesday press conference. “I like his game. I like the kid. We brought him in here, smart kid. He’s had this career that’s been up and down, but he’s in a good place now. I know Pete is using him and he’s doing very well.”
