Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf had a strong response for a high school player who heckled him. A video surfaced on social media that showed the high schooler telling Metcalf “Jalen Ramsey’s your dad.”

“Why you say that,” Metcalf asked. The high school player said because of the film, which led to Metcalf asking him “And who are you?” The exchange ended with the high schooler saying he played football, and Metcalf saying, “Good luck to you, bro.”

Ramsey saw the video and showed support for the Pro Bowl wide receiver. “Lame ass kids need to be tryna learn for DK! Ramsey wrote. “[Metcalf] don’t even give that no attention next time.”

Fans also showed support for Metcalf. One person on Instagram wrote, “Kids think the real world is a comment section, the disrespect is unreal. Growing up we would have been hyped to have an NFL athlete come to our school.”

“DK handled this so maturely,” another person wrote. “I hope that kid learns how to speak to adults that have so much wisdom and advice to offer. Especially given DK is in a position that kid can’t even dream of.”

DK Metcalf and Jalen Ramsey are NFL Superstars

Metcalf and Ramsey are two of the top players in the NFL. Metcalf has reached the Pro Bowl in 2020 and 2023 and was named to the All-Pro Second Team in 2020. Ramsey joined the Miami Dolphins last season after spending time with the Los Angeles Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars. The veteran cornerback has been named to the Pro Bowl the last seven seasons, selected to the All-Pro First Team three times and helped the Rams win the Super Bowl in 2021.

Before the 2023 season, Metcalf talked about what has changed about him as he enters his fifth year in the NFL. “I still have the same hunger and the same drive, but my mentality is different in the aspect of how I approach the game,” Metcalf said, per Seattle Sports.

“I know I have a bunch of rookies behind me asking a lot of questions, so it’s just transitioning to, alright, I’m not the young guy anymore – I’m answering questions for the young guys. Just taking what Bobby (Wagner) and (Russell Wilson) and (Tyler) Lockett taught me my first few years in the league and just applying it to my life and giving them the same bits and pieces they gave me.”
