The fists were flying in the Seattle Seahawks training camp practice on Wednesday, which is being held at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton, WA. Early in the practice, Seahawks Tre Brown and Jake Bobo exchanged punches. Shortly after their confrontation, Seattle star wide receiver DK Metcalf joined the fray.

In the video below, Metcalf initially attempts to break up a scuffle but then joins in the fight. You can also see the Seattle Pro-Bowl wide receiver swinging a helmet at one of his teammates during the brawl.

Emotions were at an all-time high at Seattle’s Wednesday practice. According to local Seahawks beat writer Gregg Bell, Brown and Bobo exchanged blows following a run play. The Seattle defensive back ripped off their wide receiver’s helmet and proceeded to throw and land a few punches to his face. Shortly after Brown’s spat with Bobo, he will turn his attention towards Metcalf, in which another brawl would ensue. Eventually, the Seahawks head coach, Mike MacDonald, grew tired of the antics and held a team meeting in the middle of the field.

Given the fisticuffs that ensued in Wednesday’s practice and the use of helmets as weapons, there is a strong possibility that a handful of Seattle players will face some sort of discipline. However, at this current time, the team has not issued any statements or reprimands.

Connor Williams to sign 1-year, $6 million contract with Seattle

Former Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys center Connor Williams is set to sign with the Seattle SeahawksESPN’s Adam Schefter reported earlier in the week. He is in agreement on a one-year contract worth up to $6 million, including $3 million guaranteed.

Williams entered free agency as he worked his way back from a torn ACL, which he suffered in Week 14 last season. The former Texas standout was in the final year of a two-year, $14 million deal with Miami after spending the first three years of his career in Dallas.

Williams worked out with the Seahawks last month and also visited the Baltimore Ravens. The sense was he would decide between the two franchises, and it appears he’s made the call.

The timing of Williams’ injury could impact his start to the 2024 season. However, his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, previously indicated Williams would be able to return in time for the year to begin.

“Connor has had a remarkable recovery, nothing short of miraculous,” Rosenhaus said in an interview with WSVN in late June. “Really looking good for the start of the season. There’s a lot of teams interested in him. But I’m just delighted for Connor. Did not anticipate him going to training camp with the team and felt like it might be something during the season before he played, but now he’s done an awesome job and we’re gonna see Connor Williams in someone’s training camp.”
