The Dolphins aerial attack will be without one of its mainstays in its game with the Broncos. That’s because Jaylen Waddle will miss the game because of a concussion.

Waddle suffered the head injury near the end of Miami’s win over the Patriots. Marte Mapu made a big hit on the former Alabama star and Waddle has been in concussion protocol since then.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported the news, Saturday afternoon. Waddle was able to do some drills, Friday, with the Dolphins listing him as “limited.”

Miami coach Mike McDaniel elevated Robbie Chosen from the practice squad. Chosen, a former Temple standout, has been in the league since 2016. You may recognize him by the name of Robby Anderson. He legally changed it last year.

The Dolphins waived Chosen on the cut to 53 players at the end of training camp. But after he cleared waivers, Miami signed him to the practice squad,

Now. quarterback Tua Tagovailoa still has Tyreek Hill as his best option. But Hill was limited some this past week because of an ankle injury. However, he returned to full practice by Thursday and isn’t on the official injury report for Sunday’s game.

Headed into week three, Tagovailoa’s 715 yards led all NFL quarterbacks. He was eight yards ahead of Kirk Cousins, whose Minnesota team is 0-2. It’s a given that Tagovailoa needs his two wideouts on the field with him.

Waddle has caught four passes in each of the past two games, both Dolphins wins. His yardage total is 164.

In Chosen, the Dolphins have an experienced receiver who has spent eight seasons in the league. The Jets signed him as an undrafted free agent. In five of his nine seasons, he’s been a full-time starter.

Meanwhile, the only Dolphins player listed as doubtful is running back Salvon Ahmed. He has a groin injury. Offensive left tackle Terron Armstead, who has issues with his back, ankle and knee, could play for the first time this season. He’s questionable for the Broncos. Linebacker Jaelan Phillips also is questionable as he deals with a back injury.
