Dolphins share injury update for Isaiah Wynn, Jaylen Waddle after Sunday Night Football
The Dolphins have injury updates on multiple players. Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reported on some of the updates on Monday, which included the status of wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.
Per Wolfe’s tweet, left guard Isaiah Wynn will miss “weeks” with a quad injury. Head coach Mike McDaniel provided the update.
Additionally, Waddle will practice this week after the team “found a solution” for his back injury. Finally, linebacker David Long was cleared from concussion protocol late Sunday night.
Waddle played in Miami’s 31-17 loss to Philadelphia on Sunday night. He finished the game with six catches for 63 yards. He has appeared in six of the Dolphins’ seven games thus far.
In his appearances, Waddle has hauled in 30 receptions for 359 yards and two touchdowns.
Wynn left Sunday night’s game early because of the injury. McDaniel didn’t specify how many weeks the offensive lineman will miss, but it sounds like several games could be on the table.
Long also suffered an injury during Sunday’s game, which forced him to enter concussion protocol.
Miami looks get to get back on the winning side of things next week. The Dolphins host the Patriots at Hard Rock Stadium next Sunday, with kickoff set for 1 p.m. ET.
