Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle questionable to return to 49ers game with leg injury

Former Alabama star Jaylen Waddle was questionable to return to the Dolphins-49ers game on Sunday afternoon after suffering a leg injury in the second quarter, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. He went to the locker room with Dolphins medical staff, but eventually returned to their sideline.
Miami lost the game to San Francisco, 33-17. The loss dropped the Dolphins’ overall record to 8-4.
Jaylen Waddle has been dominant in his first two years
Waddle has teamed with Tyreek Hill to form one of the most explosive receiving corps in the NFL this year. So, if he has to miss time, it’d be a huge loss. Coming into Sunday’s game, Waddle had already hauled in 56 catches for 963 receiving yards and six touchdowns during the 2022 season.
He’s averaged 17.2 yards per catch–ranking him 4th in the National Football League amongst all receivers. Waddle has been a massive part of Tua Tagovailoa’s success this season. The pair share excellent chemistry from their playing days with the Alabama Crimson Tide and it shows on the field.
Not only does Waddle share excellent chemistry with Tua, but he also helps to take attention away from Tyreek Hill. Having two receivers with their jaw-dropping combination of speed and acceleration is simply unfair.

The former Alabama star even got his jersey in the Pro Football Hall of Fame with Tagovailoa’s after their record-setting performance against the Baltimore Ravens.
The Dolphins’ devastating wide receiver combination of Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill have been flat out unstoppable for much of the 2022 season.
Waddle enjoyed an incredible rookie season in 2021. He set the NFL record for the most receptions by a rookie with 104. He also reeled in 1,015 receiving yards and six touchdown catches. It’s clear that he’ll be a superstar for many years to come in the National Football League.
