President Donald Trump took a shot at Taylor Swift after her boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs were trounced in Super Bowl LIX by the Philadelphia Eagles.
When Swift was shown on the big screen inside the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, a large contingent of the stadium decided to boo. Whether it was Eagles fans trying to make a statement, or indifferent NFL fans tired of Swift being all over their televisions during broadcasts, they made their voices heard.
Trump was also in attendance, and he made sure to point out how difficult it must be for Swift to stomach Kelce’s disappointing night, and the fans vitriol towards her. He even took credit for it, claiming his supporters were “unforgiving” after she endorsed Kamala Harris during the election cycle.
“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “MAGA is very unforgiving!”
Regardless, it’s easy to see why Trump was more interested in speaking about Swift than the game on the field following Super Bowl LIX on Sunday. The Eagles stunk it up, jumping out to a 34-0 lead and winning one of the more uncompetitive games in recent Super Bowl memory.

It was a shocking development, as the Chiefs were the best team in the NFL throughout the season. However, it’s evident Philadelphia was on their own crusade, looking to exercise their demons from their loss on the biggest stage to Kansas City two seasons ago, that many felt like they should’ve won at the time.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts outplayed Patrick Mahomes, and he was named Super Bowl LIX MVP after the win. He finished 17-of-22 passing for 221 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception.
Perhaps more importantly, he ran for 72 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries, frequently moving the chains by slipping free from the pocket and picking up key first downs. The former Alabama and Oklahoma quarterback has been doubted throughout his career, but he has answered those question marks with a firm statement by winning the Super Bowl.
All told, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will be just fine, even if it may take some time to get over the butt-kicking the Chiefs had to deal with on the biggest stage in sports. While President Donald Trump and others take a victory lap following the Eagles’ win, it’ll be fascinating to see how Kansas City bounces back next season.
