Donna Kelce responds to Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce questions on Today Show

As Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift become one of the most famous romances in the world, Donna Kelce’s star has continued to rise, as well.

The mother of Travis and Jason Kelce has been in the news for quite some time, even starring in a commercial for the NFL, but Swift and her fanbase have helped catapult the Kelces into another stratosphere of fame. On Friday, Donna Kelce joined The Today Show to elaborate on how her life has changed over time.

“Yeah, it’s like every week something new. Like, really? I feel like I’m in some sort of alternate universe,” Kelce said. “Just really, really strange. But it’s fun, it’s a great ride.

“You know, at times it gets a little annoying. But most of the time people are just so sweet, so kind, so generous. … but what mother doesn’t want to hear their kids are great.”

Speaking on meeting Swift and famously linking in suites over the last two weeks, Kelce played it coy in saying: “It was OK. Yeah.”

While that’s far from the answer the most adamant of Swifties would give when meeting their idol, it’s certainly a unique situation for Donna Kelce. As for her son’s budding romance with the global superstar, ‘Mama’ Kelce didn’t want to overshare and give too many details away, but it’s certainly changed her life quite a bit.

“Yeah, you know, it’s fairly new so I don’t like to talk about it,” Donna Kelce revealed. “It’s one of those things that obviously everybody saw me, I was in the boxes with her. And it’s just, you know, another thing that’s amped up my life.”

Still, Donna Kelce believes it’s ulitmately her son’s story to tell. Her kids will always be her kids, but she wants the Kansas City Chiefs tight end to be able to handle his own personal life. It’s not her place.

“It’s not so much a warning, it’s his personal life,” Kelce added, asked if Travis Kelce told her to keep her lips sealed regarding his relationship with Swift. “And I’ll talk about my life, and when the kids were little and I was with them, but they’re men now and they have their own lives.

“And there’s not a man alive that’s going to talk to their mom about their personal life. It’s just not going to happen.”

That’s a good point made by a good mother. Donna Kelce isn’t going to be the one to spill the beans on Travis and Taylor, even if that’s what all of social media wants to know.

“I honestly can’t tell you, it’s just too new,” Donna Kelce responded when asked if there’s an actual romance brewing between the football star and the artist. “I can’t tell you.”

Regardless, Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift and even Donna Kelce aren’t leaving the limelight anytime soon, but they’ve handled it with grace and professionalism throughout.
