When Kansas City won the Super Bowl on Sunday, not even Mecole Hardman could believe it. Another win for the Chiefs after being down double digits and as a result, a dynasty has been born with three championships in five seasons.

Another big winner from the game was Drake. He revealed a large bet placed on Kansas City on Saturday, putting $1.15 million on Chiefs moneyline. Because the Lombardi Trophy is heading back to KC, Drake heads home with nearly an extra $1.2 million in his pocket.

Drake put out a reaction video to winning his bet and was seemingly enjoying some crepes. His plate did break though, making being something he spends part of his $1.2 million on.

A huge payday for the musician and despite appearing to be quite calm in the video, an extra stress level had to be there. Or maybe, it was never a doubt for Drake.

You can watch Drake’s full celebration here. Warning — the video below includes NSFW language.

At least publicly, there was not much strategy behind Drake’s bet. He posted the slip on Instagram and said it was too difficult to go up against the Swifties. Everyone supporting Taylor Swift was cheering for Travis Kelce and Kansas City to win another Super Bowl.

The thought process paid off in a big way for Drake.

Maybe the Drake Curse is a thing of the past. A few times he has publically supported certain teams to win big games and ended up on the right side. Kansas City might be immune to the prior history, though. Swift could have played a factor put the play from the defense and Patrick Mahomes is ultimately what got the job done.

Kansas City wins Drake his bet, wins third Super Bowl in five seasons

Of the three Super Bowls Kansas City has won with Mahomes, this one is thought to be the most impressive.

Heading into the postseason, Mahomes had never played a playoff game on the road. Before a narrative could even begin, he put it to rest by taking down Buffalo and Baltimore in back-to-back games. Two of the league’s best teams down the stretch both fell at their own stadium.

And then once in the Super Bowl, San Francisco was clearly the best team in the NFC all season. An impressive run from the Chiefs and the party will continue for quite some time — whether they are in Las Vegas or back home in Kansas City.
