WATCH: Draymond Green reveals words to Kevin Durant in iconic GIF
Draymond Green and Kevin Durant have more than a few memories together from their time as teammates on the Golden State Warriors, with many of them immortalized as internet memes. But perhaps the memory that stands out most is one of Green hyping up Durant, getting close to his face and tapping on his shoulder.
That moment now lives on as a GIF that has become popular among even non-basketball fans. In a recent episode of The Draymond Green Show, the Warriors forward revealed what he was saying to Durant in that clip.
“I can’t remember exactly what I was saying, but I think I was saying something like, ‘They wanna guard something like that, (but) I got you,”‘” Green recalled. “‘And if I got you, I’m gonna roll with you every time. Against what they’re doing and you mean to tell me I can get you the ball? I’m rolling with that every single time. They can’t stop you. There’s nobody in this league that can stop you. So if that’s what they’re gonna give us, I’m rolling with that every single time.’ So it was something along those lines. I can’t remember it verbatim, but it was something along those lines.”
Kevin Durant and Draymond Green spent three seasons together in Golden State, winning two NBA Finals. The pair got into several arguments during their time as teammates, with one even escalating to the point where Green allegedly called Durant a b****. In 2019, coming off of an Achilles injury, Durant left the Warriors and signed with the Brooklyn Nets. In two full seasons since, he has led them to back-to-back playoff appearances.

But while the Nets were bounced in the first round this season, Green and the Warriors are still alive, set for a Western Conference Finals series against Dallas. The two have said in the past that their beef was never truly serious and they remain friends to this day.
With that in mind, it could be time for Durant to start hyping Green and the Warriors up against the Mavericks.
