EA’s Madden NFL 24 ratings are coming out this week, revealing which of the league’s players scored the highest based on their 2022 production and overall body of work.

The game revealed the ratings for the best wide receivers in the NFL for the 2023 season on Monday, which are determined by taking the average overall score for each player based on 43 skill categories.

Heading into his fourth year with the Minnesota Vikings, wide receiver Justin Jefferson scored a 99 rating for EA’s Madden NFL 24. It’s the highest rating a player can receive and the best this year amongst all of the NFL’s wideouts.

EA Sports Top 10 Wide Receivers

  1. Justin Jefferson, 99 – Minnesota Vikings
  2. Tyreek Hill, 98 – Miami Dolphins
  3. Davante Adams, 97 – Las Vegas Raiders
  4. Stefon Diggs, 96 – Buffalo Bills
  5. Cooper Kupp, 96 – L.A. Rams
  6. Ja’Marr Chase, 94 – Cincinnati Bengals
  7. DeAndre Hopkins, 93 – Tennessee Titans
  8. Terry McLaurin, 92 – Washington Commanders
  9. A.J. Brown, 91 – Philadelphia Eagles
  10. Amari Cooper, 91 – Cleveland Browns

The wide receivers ranked from 11-20 are CeeDee Lamb, Mike Evans, Keenan Allen, Deebo Samuel, Tyler Lockett, Mike Williams, D.K. Metcalf, Jaylen Waddle, Amon-Ra St. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

Almost every receiver ranked in the top 20 in Madden’s ratings posted 1,000+ yards during the 2022 season. The exceptions are Cooper Kupp, DeAndre Hopkins, Mike Williams, Deebo Samuel and Keenan Allen for various reasons (i.e. suspension/injury).

Justin Jefferson joins Madden ’99 club’

Justin Jefferson is the first member of the 99 club this year but ESPN will continue unveiling the Madden NFL 24 ratings all week long. Based on the top 10 receiver rankings, however, Jefferson is the only 99-rating receiver this season.

“Y’all have no idea what it means to be a 99 in Madden!!” Jefferson tweeted on Monday. “Since I was 7y/o I been creating my own player making him a 99 and now I don’t have to (mind blown emojis).”

With his 99 ranking, Jefferson becomes the highest-ever rated wide receiver out of the Vikings, even over the legendary Randy Moss. Moss topped out on Madden with a 98 rating.

Jefferson ranked second among all NFL wide receivers in short, medium and deep route running categories. His rating is far from a surprise given that the former LSU star has the most receiving yards of any NFL wideout over the past three seasons. Since his rookie season, Jefferson has posted 4,825 receiving yards, which is almost 400 yards more than the next-best, Davante Adams.
