Eagles OL Jordan Mailata sings epic Stevie Wonder cover at his wedding
For Jordan Mailata, his ascension to becoming one of the top offensive linemen on one of the top units in the NFL has been nothing short of incredible. Keep in mind, he signed a four-year, $64 million contract in September of 2021, after not playing a single down of high school or college football in America. That alone, is mind-bending. He was drafted by the Eagles in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft. The pick was based purely on potential, he stood at 6-foot-8, 346-pounds, and ran an impressive 5.16 40-yard dash. The former rugby star has blossomed into one of the most dominant offensive tackles in the league. That story alone is something for a Hollywood movie script. On Saturday night, Mailata decided to show everyone that not only is he a unicorn on the football field, but he has some pipes that will soothe the soul, too.
Check it out below as Mailata sang a beautiful version of Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely?” at his own wedding.
Take a bow, Jordan Mailata. Not only can he learn how to play offensive lineman at the highest of levels in less than five years, but the man can sing at an elite level. Seriously, what can’t this guy do?
What a beautiful version of an all-time legend’s song. Stevie Wonder would be very proud. A number of Mailata’s teammates (Jalen Hurts and Lane Johnson) joined him in Hawaii to celebrate his marriage to his wife, Niki. Check out more pictures from their wedding here.
Mailata’s musical talents have been well-known since he joined the Eagles in 2018. That doesn’t make them any less impressive. In 2022, he competed in Season 7 of The Masked Singer. During the 2022 offseason, he also recorded a Christmas album that was titled, “A Philly Special Christmas”. Some of his Philadelphia teammates got involved in the album, including Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, and Philadelphia linebacker Connor Barwin.

Shortly after he was selected by the Eagles in the 2018 draft, he managed to make the 53-man roster, but suffered a stress fracture in his back. That injury effectively ended his rookie year. He also missed the majority of the 2019 season. That’s when he started to transform into one of the most dominant players in the league.
In 2020, Mailata led the Eagles’ offensive linemen in fewest sacks allowed (seven). Not only that, but he also led the Eagles’ offensive linemen in total pass protection snaps (502). In the fall of 2021, Eagles’ head coach Nick Sirianni named Mailata as the starter at left tackle for the 2021 NFL season. In 2022, he was named an NFC Pro Bowl alternate after helping propel the Eagles to the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs, where they lost in a classic, 38-35.
The Australian continues to live out a Hollywood script in real life. It’ll be fascinating to not only watch him dominate on the gridiron in the coming years, but to hear more of his fantastic music.
