Eagles QB Jalen Hurts announces engagement to longtime girlfriend Bry Burrows
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is now engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Bry Burrows, the couple confirmed to ESSENCE on Friday.
Hurts and Burrows shared exclusive photos of the moment when Hurts popped the question.
Hurts and Burrows first met while the two attended the University of Alabama. They went public with their relationship in 2023, Burrows joining Hurts on the field when the Eagles won the NFC Championship. They made their red-carpet debut in the Time100 Next Gala in October 2023.
Burrows was in attendance last Friday for the Eagles’ Week 1 contest against the Green Bay Packers in São Paulo, Brazil. She shared a kiss with Hurts before the game, seen wearing a ring on her finger.

Jalen Hurts, Eagles topple Packers in Brazil
Hurts and the Eagles made it out of Brazil with a 34-29 victory. Hurts completed 20-of-34 passes for 278 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. He added 33 yards on 13 carries.

While far from his best, head coach Nick Sirianni isn’t overly concerned about his franchise quarterback.
“[I’m] not concerned,” Sirianni said this week. “He made a lot of good plays in this game. … Listen, we all have a lot of things to clean up. But, again, he made a lot of big-time plays in that game that helped put that game in our favor.”
The Eagles host the Atlanta Falcons in their home opener on “Monday Night Football.”
