Former Washington Huskies standouts Edefuan Ulofoshio and Dominique Hampton were drafted back-to-back in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, and their rookie contract figures have now been revealed.

As the 160th pick to the Buffalo Bills, Ulofoshio will sign a four-year deal worth $4.32 million, per Spotrac. That would divide into a $1.08 million annual salary to go along with a $301,832 signing bonus.

Hampton’s numbers are nearly identical to Ulofoshio’s having been selected No. 161 overall to the Washington Commanders — but he is expected to be paid just a bit more. While he will also receive a four-year deal, his contract bumps up slightly to $4.33 million and will receive a slightly higher signing bonus totaling $310,468.

Hampton played 57 total games during his time at Washington to record 190 career tackles, two interceptions, 16 passes defended and one fumble recovery. He earned Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 this past season as he helped guide the Huskies to an appearance in the national championship game.

For Hampton, he had his best season yet in 2023 to lead the team with 109 total tackles along with two interceptions and seven passes defended. He started all 15 games and finished with a team-high 10 tackles in the national title game against Michigan.

The former Husky standout spent the first four years of his college career as a reserve player before moving into a starting role in 2022. He finished that season with 42 tackles and four passes defended.

In Ulofoshio’s case, year after year saw his role and production would increase, earning Second-Team All-Pac-12 honors and honorable mention All-American honors from Pro Football Focus during the shortened 2020 season. Recording 47 tackles, four pass breakups, two fumble recoveries, and a sack, tackle for loss, and forced fumble apiece in four games.

Injuries riddled both his 2021 and 2022 seasons, but in 2023 he returned as a team captain and an All-Pac-12 First-Team selection after ranking second on the team in tackles. Helping lead the Huskies to a conference title win and a national championship game appearance with 94 tackles, 8.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, four pass breakups, and an interception returned for a touchdown.

Now, both the Bills and Commanders are going to be gaining two of Washington’s best defenders — both of which have experience playing at the highest level of college football. Being late-round draft choices, however, they have to prove their worth to their respective NFL teams this offseason.
