Emmanuel Forbes, Tylan Wallace fight during Commanders joint practice with Ravens
Tylan Wallace welcomed Emmanuel Forbes to the world of NFL extracurriculars. Yes, a receiver and a cornerback will get into it, even during preseason workouts.
The Ravens and Commanders are conducting joint workouts as they get ready for their game against each other on Aug. 21. And Forbes-Wallace gave onlookers some extra action on Tuesday morning as the Battle of the Beltway looms large.
It looks like Forbes, the Commanders’ first-round pick, might have hit Wallace a bit below the belt. The receiver returned the hit. Then the two started swapping punches. You can check out the short clip below for a taste of what transpired as Baltimore and Washington went against each other in team drills.
Other videos show that Commanders safety Kamren Curl came in for backup. Then everyone from both teams came running. You like the competitive spirit, although you don’t want to see someone do something stupid.
Emmanuel Forbes is a rookie, while Tylan Wallace is in 3rd year
This time a year ago, Forbes was prepping for his final season at Mississippi State. Meanwhile, Wallace is in his third season in the league. The Ravens selected the former Oklahoma State star in the fourth round of the 2021 draft.

It appears something was in the training camp air. There was another fight on the next play. Nicki Jhabvala, who covers the Commanders for the Washington Post, offered more details. She reported that Ravens tight end Mark Andrews and Commanders cornerback Danny Johnson got into it. She tweeted that Ravens offensive tackle Morgan Moses then “came from the top rope and crushed someone from behind.”
Emmanuel Forbes possibly was paying extra attention to Tylan Wallace. The Ravens receiver caught a spectacular 10-yard catch from Baltimore backup quarterback Tyler Huntley to give his team a 17-13 lead over the Eagles. Baltimore won its 24th straight preseason game in a row, holding off the Eagles 20-19.
Note, these two geographical rivals don’t play each other in the regular season. So these preseason antics will have to do.
