Ezekiel Elliott and Micah Parsons are throwing their support behind the Cowboys adding Odell Beckham Jr. to their squad.

First, the Dallas star running back couldn’t make it anymore clearer, “We want OBJ,” he told Jon Machota of The Athletic on Wednesday.

“We know what type of player Odell is. We know how explosive he can be and what he could bring to this offense. It would be great to get him down here in Dallas,” stated Elliott, via Machota. “… He would definitely fit in this locker room. We want OBJ.”

While Parsons is on the other side of the football, he recognizes the talent the free agent wide receiver possesses.

“Shit, we could use him,” corroborated Parsons, via Machota. “I think he’s a great player. He’s a guy you want on your team. I think he’s a great dude. I think he could add good value to the team and help us do what we want to do.

“… I don’t feel obligated to do it, but if the guy is on the market, and he’s talking about he wants to play and he wants to win games, shit, me too. Come on. Come win games over here and help us get to that Bowl that you want. I want it.”

Moreover, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, confirmed the Dallas stars aren’t just teasing fans with their praise of Beckham Jr., as he reported the possibility of signing Beckham Jr. was one of the reasons why Dallas decided against trading for a wide receiver at the trade deadline, and the former LSU star could be the jolt the Cowboys are looking for.

“The Cowboys were active at the trade deadline, making calls with hopes of landing a speedy receiver. In the end, no deal made sense and they stood pat. There is one more receiver out there for them,” wrote Garafolo. “Odell Beckham Jr., the top free agent available, is firmly on the Cowboys’ radar, sources say, and they are expected to be in the mix when he’s ready to pick his team upon full recovery from an ACL tear.

“Dallas (6-2) has plenty of weapons, but its pursuit of a receiver who can run shows the team is in the market for more offensive help. The possibility of signing Beckham is one factor in the Cowboys not reaching for a deal that didn’t fit.”

Of course, Beckham Jr. is highly sought after by multiple NFL teams, as Garafolo added that the Cowboys are far from the only franchise in on the wide receiver.

“While the original hope for Beckham was to sign in mid-November, sources now say the plan for Beckham is to be in full health and signed by early December. Several teams have been open about potential interest in Beckham, including the Bills, Giants and Rams, sources say,” wrote Garafolo. “The Packers and Chiefs may have interest, as well.

“Now, you can add the Cowboys to the mix.”

Additionally, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones seems to be on board with his star players as well, as he made it known how much respect he has for Beckham Jr. last week.

“Bottom line is, Odell is a player that I admire a lot,” stated Jones, via Jon Machota of The Athletic.

While the Cowboys have a great receiving corps, there’s no question Odell Beckham Jr. would be a weapon that could help them in their chase of a Super Bowl. Time will tell where the star wide receiver signs, but Jerry Jones and the biggest stars the Dallas Cowboys have to offer are throwing their hat in the ring.
