Apparently, Tommy Fleetwood isn’t quite famous enough to take his five-year-old son, Frankie, to school. Thankfully, someone else stepped up to lend a helping hand.

Monday, Tommy tweeted out that “Frankie asked if a famous golfer can take him to schools this morning.” So, even though Tommy is pretty famous himself, apparently he’s not famous enough.

The family turned to 2013 U.S. Open champion and Olympic gold medalist Justin Rose for help. Tommy posted a photo of Frankie standing with Rose, presumably before the two hit the road for school.

Maybe one day Frankie will believe his father is famous enough to take him to school. Monday was not that day, though.

It was pretty cool of Rose to step in and “help out” the Fleetwood family on Monday. It gave Twitter a pretty good laugh, too.

Fleetwood, Rose preparing for 2023 Open Championship

Putting the “who’s more famous?” question aside, both Fleetwood and Rose are preparing for one of the biggest events on the golf calendar. Later this month, the two will participate in the Open Championship.

This year marks the 151st playing of the historic tournament and serves as the final major championship of the year. It runs from Thursday, July 20 through Sunday, July 23.

Both Fleetwood and Rose have performed well in the annual event, but neither has claimed the top prize. Both have finished second in the tournament.

In 2018, Rose finished in a tie for second by shooting -6 for the tournament. He lost out to Francesco Molinari, who carded a -8 over four days to win the Claret Jug.

Fleetwood finished the event in second place the following year, but didn’t have quite the same shot to win it as Rose. Fleetwood ended the event at 9-under-par but still lost by six strokes to a red-hot Shane Lowry (-15).

Could either Fleetwood or Rose finally win the Claret Jug this year?
