A very scary news report came out of the Miami area Wednesday afternoon when the fire department was called out to the mansion of Tyreek Hill, a Miami Dolphins player and one of the top wide receivers in the NFL.

WSVN 7 News first reported the incident and included videos in their reporting of large amounts of dark, black smoke coming off of Hill’s home. Here was their breaking account of the incident:

“Rescue crews Wednesday afternoon quickly responded to a fire at a mansion owned by Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill in Southwest Ranches. Davie Fire Rescue arrived at the home, located at 16755 Berkshire.”

Then, here was some additional info provided by the WSVN 7 report:

“Crews are attempting to find the source of the fire, which has been upgraded to a 2-alarm fire. More firefighters are expected to arrive at the scene. Firefighters who were on top of the mansion’s roof were told to get down. According to property records, the mansion was bought in 2022 for $6.9 million. No injuries were reported.”

Longtime Local Miami reporter Barry Jackson shared shortly afterwards that Hill was not at the home and was participating in Dolphins team practice. However, he has since been notified of the situation and is heading to address it.

“Per the Dolphins, Tyreek Hill is aware of the fire at his home and has left practice. Thankfully, everyone is safe,” tweeted Jackson.

The WSVN 7 News tweet above included a long report live from the home, or at least they shot the fire and the property with an aerial view, which showed a woman and children standing outside the house before Hill finally arrived, wearing his injury boot.

After a while, WSVN confirmed that nobody was injured in the fire, the origin of it was found and it was eventually slowed by firefighters.

Reportedly, Hill purchased the estate for $6.9 million back in 2022, when he first became a member of the Miami Dolphins following a trade away from the Kansas City Chiefs, where he won a Super Bowl alongside Patrick Mahomes back in February of 2020 to cap off the 2019 season.

Now a Dolphin, Hill has enjoyed nearly two full complete years as one of the NFL’s best wide receivers and has been a massive part in turning Miami into an immediate playoff contender in year one and now year two of his time with the Dolphins.
