Florida cornerback Jason Marshall has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, he announced on his Twitter account in a lengthy note on Saturday night.

Marshall has been a star for the Gators for the past few seasons, and he was coming off his best year yet before suffering a season-ending injury. Opponents frequently avoided throwing at him thanks to his skills as a lockdown cornerback.

“To Gator Nation, I appreciate you guys,” Jason Marshall wrote. “It’s nothing greater than running out the tunnel into Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. I remember the first time I ran out as a freshman and it still gives me goosebumps every time. I’ve cherished every moment of it and nothing compares. Thank you.

“With that being said, God has called me for more. I am thrilled to announce that I will be declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft.”

Jason Marshall played in seven games during the 2024 season, his senior year, before he suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in a game against Kentucky. Prior to the injury, Marshall tallied 20 tackles (13 solo), 1.5 tackles for loss, four pass breakups, three QB hurries and one forced fumble for a 74.9 grade from Pro Football Focus.

He thanked God, his family and his teammates on the way out.

“To my family, a thank you is not enough for how much you all have contributed towards my life and my success,” Marshall wrote. “The support from you all did nothing but give me faith to continue to chase my dreams since a young boy. I can’t do anything but appreciate you all for sticking behind me throughout my life and this journey.

“To my teammates and coaches, I greatly admire everything y’all have done for me. The bond and relationships that we shared are truly amazing and I can’t thank you all enough for that. I wouldn’t trade you all for anything else possible and these memories will last forever.”
