FloSports, NASCAR partnering to air Madhouse Classic at Bowman Gray for free
The NASCAR weekend at Bowman Gray will feature a 125-lap Modified race with big-time stars in the field, and you can watch it for free. FloSports and NASCAR are partnering to air the Madhouse Classic on FloRacing and the brand-new NASCAR Channel.
For those not familiar, NASCAR just launched its very own FAST channel. That stands for Free Ad-Supported Television and is not a racing pun. The NASCAR Channel is free on Tubi. It will show race replays, classic races, original programming, and even live events.
The first live event to debut on the NASCAR Channel will be the Madhouse Classic. NASCAR going back to Bowman Gray Stadium, it’s a big deal. Bobby Labonte and Ryan Preece will be in the field. It will also feature track legends, Burt Myers and Tim Brown.
FloRacing will pick up the coverage at 1:30 PM EST. The race will be at 1:45 PM EST. Practice and qualifying will take place beginning at 11:45 AM EST but will not be televised.
Having this race available on the NASCAR Channel will be fantastic. If you haven’t checked out the new Tubi channel, it’s great. Put it on in the background and enjoy all of the NASCAR content new and old that you can handle.
Of course, FloRacing carries some of the biggest grassroots races in North American motorsports. From dirt to asphalt, High Limit Racing to CARS Tour – FloRacing has something for every race fan.

NASCAR Clash at Bowman Gray
Of course, the NASCAR Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray is the main event of the weekend. Saturday there will be practice, which will serve as qualifying. Then there will be heat races. A Last Chance Qualifier will serve as the prelude to the feature race on Sunday night.
20 cars will advance from the Heat Races. Then two cars will make it out of the Last Chance Qualifier. The final driver for the 23-car field will be the highest points earner from the 2024 season who failed to qualify otherwise.
Bowman Gray Stadium is the same size as the LA Coliseum track. But it is a permanent track and races differently. New additions like a SAFER barrier and catchfence have been added. There have also been new LED lights installed that are capable of putting on little light shows. All of that has made the historic track modern without changing it much.
With the SAFER barrier, the track will race a little tighter. You lose a bit of width with the barrier installed on the concrete wall. The NASCAR Clash at Bowman Gray is about set. Cars are being inspected at Charlotte Motor Speedway because the Madhouse does not have the capacity to run scanners and all of that equipment. Cars on track soon.
