Former Auburn standout Quan Bray no longer has a roster spot with the Canadian Football League’s Ottawa Redblacks. The team released the wide receiver after learning about his arrest warrant.

Quebec Court Judge Alexandre Dalmau issued a warrant for Bray’s arrest on Thursday. Neither Bray, not a representative appeared at the Montreal court during his scheduled time, per the Montreal Gazette.

However, the judge then canceled the warrant when a representative appeared in court later. Bray faces allegations of assault, sexual assault and obstruction of justice.

Bray was arrested for alleged incident in April and made his first court appearance in May. The Redblacks released a statement regarding Bray’s release on Thursday.

“The Ottawa REDBLACKS were made aware, Thursday, of criminal charges pending against receiver Quan Bray,” the statement read. “Bray has been released by the organization.”

Bray’s next court date has been set for August.

Bray played at Auburn from 2011-14. He played in 49 career games with the Tigers, hauling in 93 catches for 853 yards and seven touchdowns. The receiver also proved to be a solid return man, piling up 565 yards on punt returns and 758 yards on kickoff returns. He also scored two special teams touchdowns.
