Former Falcons RB Warrick Dunn on Bijan Robinson: 'He's a great player'
Former Atlanta Falcons running back Warrick Dunn has been impressed with Bijan Robinson‘s impact on the team. On3 recently caught up with Dunn who shared his thoughts on Robinson emerging as a top NFL running back.
“Bijan, he’s shown everybody, he brings a lot of excitement, because you never know what’s going to happen,” Dunn told On3. “It’s always all eyes on him because of his explosiveness. He’s a great player that’s doing his part, and I’m sure after some runs, like we all do as running backs, it’s like,’If I’d have made this step, or if I’d have done this, it would’ve been another 20 yards, or it could have been a home run.’ It’s like anything, he’s giving it his all, he’s making plays and trying to help his team win games, and that’s the most important thing. I don’t really think it’s about him. He’s a team player, and I love that about him, and I know he’s trying to do his best to help the team win games.”
So far this season, Robinson has 977 rushing yards, 401 receiving yards and nine total touchdowns through 13 games. As a rookie last year, the Texas Longhorns alum had 976 rushing yards, 487 receiving yards and eight TDs in 17 games.

Warrick Dunn explains how Bijan Robinson and the Falcons can finish this season strong
Bijan Robinson is having a great 2024 season for the Falcons, but the same can’t be said about the team. After having a 6-3 record after nine games, the Falcons have lost their last four and are a game behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the NFC South lead. Warrick Dunn, who rushed for nearly 6,000 yards in six seasons with the Falcons (2002-2007), revealed how they can finish strong and win their first divisional title since the 2016 season.
“We’ve got to bring it all together and play as one,” Dunn explained. “If we could do that as a team, and really now challenge each other to step up and do their part, I think that’s where we can see that change, where now we’re not pointing a finger at anybody, we point the finger at ourselves and say, ‘If I don’t do my part, I’m not helping my team.’ I think we have to hold each other accountable and push each other to do their part.”
