NFL Network insiders rave about Florida WR Ricky Pearsall's Senior Bowl practice showing
Former Florida receiver Ricky Pearsall is no longer at the Senior Bowl after a couple of days of practice, but he was very impressive during his limited time in Mobile.
NFL Network analyst and draft expert Daniel Jeremiah shared what he saw from Pearsall during Senior Bowl practices Thursday morning on the NFL Network.
“Quick and fast and has been impressive as a route runner,” Jeremiah said. “He has been really able to separate. You see it with double moves when you watch his tape at Florida. They can also just get the ball in his hands and let him run with it after the catch.”
Ricky Pearsall had a strong senior season for the Gators in 2023, catching 65 passes for 965 yards and four touchdowns.
He also averaged 20.7 yards on three rushing attempts, while scoring on two of his three carries.
In addition to that, Pearsall delivered the catch of the college football season and one of the best catches you will ever see this past season against Charlotte.
The Arizona native made an incredible one-handed catch with his right hand, pulling the pass down in traffic. You can watch the play below:
NFL Network analysts couldn’t stop raving about the catch by Ricky Pearsall as they broke down the receiver’s game.

“Of anybody here, I know one thing, on the resume, nobody has a better catch than Ricky Pearsall does with this one-hander,” Jeremiah said. “Watch this with his right hand. To just catch the tail end of the ball, doesn’t need that left hand, working down the seam. A lot of people make that one-handed catch with their left hand. He stabs it with his right hand. That was an incredible, incredible catch.”
NFL Network host Andrew Siciliano took it a step further.
“I know we live in a day and age where everything has to be called the greatest of all time. I don’t know that I’ve seen a better catch in a college game than that — in traffic. That is just absurd,” Siciliano said.
No reason was given as to why Ricky Pearsall left Senior Bowl week early, but he wasn’t the only one.
According to ESPN’s Jordan Reid, Marshall running back Rasheen Ali, Maryland safety Beau Brade, Washington State EDGE Brennan Jackson, Wake Forest safety Malik Mustapha, Oregon center Jackson Powers-Johnson and Michigan receiver Roman Wilson are also no longer at the Senior Bowl.
No reason was given as to why the players left. However, according to Tom Pelissero, Ali suffered a ruptured biceps tendon that will require surgery.
