Former Georgia Bulldogs and current Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nakobe Dean and defensive lineman Jordan Davis were seen warming up before the game with gear on, paying respect to the two individuals who passed away following Georgia’s national championship win. Dean and Davis wore matching sweatshirts to honor late Bulldogs offensive lineman Devin Willock and team staffer Chandler LeCroy.

The pair of Eagles rookies were former teammates of Willock during Georgia’s run to the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship. The Bulldogs followed the performance with another title run this season. Unfortunately, instead of a similar celebration to the one that happened last year, this year’s is filled with somber notes. Willock and LeCroy passed away in a single-car accident while celebrating the back-to-back championship run.

Dean and Davis honoring their late teammate and former staffer only further highlights the point that some things in life are bigger than football. They may have lost two individuals that they are close to. However, those individuals will forever live on with them in their hearts, the hearts of those fans representing Dawgs Nation and college football fans across the globe.
