Per CNN, Sergio is “awaiting extradition to Maywood, a suburb of Chicago, to face the murder charge.”
Police located the body of Myrtle Brown, Sergio’s mother, near a creek outside her home in suburban Chicago on Sept. 16. Authorities were called when friends and family were unable to contact Myrtle or Sergio.
According to CNN, the cause of death was ruled a homicide.
“My brother Sergio is still missing,” Nick Brown wrote on Instagram. “If anyone knows where he is I want him to know that I love you and please come home.”
