Former Notre Dame star, third-round pick Miles Boykin released by the Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens are parting ways with third-year wide receiver Miles Boykin. According to NFL and insider Ian Rapoport, the Ravens parted ways with their wideout on Monday after failing to trade him recently.
Boykins was the Ravens’ third-round pick back in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame. The former Fighting Irish star saw limited field action in his final season with the Ravens after starting the year on the injured reserve list with a hamstring injury. Boykin finished the 2021 season with only one catch on one target or six yards over eight games.
Before last season, Boykin appeared to be an up-and-coming weapon in the Ravens’ passing game. Over his first two seasons with the Ravens, he recorded 32 catches for 464 yards and seven touchdowns.
Notre Dame officially enters NIL recruiting battle, unveils collective led by Brady Quinn
As the Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) era in collegiate sports continues to evolve, more and more collectives are being launched to benefit student-athletes at certain schools. For athletes at Notre Dame, they now have that luxury, as a new NIL collective – the FUND Foundation – has been created to allow them to promote charitable organizations that they are passionate about.
The FUND Foundation, which stands for “Friends of the University of Notre Dame,” is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is being spearheaded by former Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn to help push the Fighting Irish forward in the ever-evolving NIL landscape. Quinn played at Notre Dame from 2003-2006 and spent seven years in the NFL.
