WATCH: Former Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton makes instant impact in NFL preseason debut

Former Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton made headlines earlier this preseason when he got cooked in training camp practice by Ravens’ UDFA wide receiver Bailey Gaither in a one-on-one drill. On Thursday night, he redeemed himself in the Ravens’ preseason matchup vs. the Tennessee Titans, recovering a fumble from Titans’ running back Julian Chestnut.

Ravens fans have to be pleased to see their first rounder bounce back in a big way on Thursday night.

Hamilton currently sits at +1100 odds of winning the Defensive Rookie of the Year award, per sportsbettingdime.com. He will definitely continue to be one of the most closely watched rookies in this year’s draft class.

Contract terms revealed for Baltimore Ravens rookie Kyle Hamilton

The Baltimore Ravens agreed to contract terms with rookie safety Kyle Hamilton, the team announced. The four-year deal is reportedly worth a fully guaranteed $16.255 million with a signing bonus of $9.002 million and a fifth-year club option.

A Notre Dame product, Hamilton was selected 14th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft this past April. He finished his career in South Bend with 138 tackles, eight interceptions and 16 passes defended. The star safety suffered a knee injury this past season that caused him to miss the final six games of the season, including the Fiesta Bowl. He still managed to tally 34 tackles, three interceptions and four passes defended across only seven games.

A former four-star plus recruit in the class of 2019, Hamilton was the No. 62 overall player in the nation per the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average. The Atlanta, Georgia, native also ranked as the No. 6 safety and No. 9 player in his home state after playing at Marist School.

Hamilton will look to continue developing and progressing as he adjusts to life in the National Football League.
