Former Packers receiver Equanimeous St. Brown says Jaire Alexander apologized for post-game comments
The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers don’t like each other. And the bitterness between players on opposing rosters can sometimes turn personal. And in Sunday’s recent matchup between the two, not even the former Packers teammates were safe from the battle. Former Green Bay receiver turned Bear, Equanimeous St. Brown and Jaire Alexander had their in-game jawing turn personal and spillover into the postgame. When asked about giving up a 56-yard catch to St. Brown, Alexander called him “a scrub.” In the moments since then, the Packers’ star corner has reached out to his former teammate and apologized for his comments.
Alexander’s direct quote from the postgame press conference was: “Nothing. Man, he a scrub. I can’t believe I let him catch that on me. But hat’s off to him because he did make a good catch.”
St. Brown, On Monday, was the one who revealed that Alexander did, in fact, reach out to him. But he didn’t appear to be worried about the comments.

“It was probably heat of the moment for him,” St. Brown said. “I don’t take anything personal. It is what it is.”
Aside from the 56-yard reception, the former Packers receiver was kept in line for the majority of the game. Say brown ended the game with three catches for 85 yards as the bears fell for the second time this season against their long-standing rival 28-19. Green Bay, with the win, improved to 5-8 on the season. And although it might be a long shot, the victory keeps the Packers in the running for a wild card spot in the playoffs.
Packers Christian Watson helps fuel come-from-behind victory
The Packers were able to end their two-game losing streak thanks to their defense slowing down Bears star quarterback Justin Fields. Also, outscoring Chicago 18-0 in the fourth quarter didn’t hurt either. Green Bay’s top offensive pick from the 2022 NFL Draft, Christan Watson, had a field day against the Bears’ defense. Watson brought down three catches for 48 yards and had the Packers’ fourth-and-four touchdown grab to pull them within six at the half. He also had a 46-yard touchdown run during Green Bay’s fourth quarter comeback.
