The Pittsburgh Steelers put the challenge on Twitter, and the fanbase responded in droves. The team’s twitter account tweeted a picture of former Pro Bowler Brett Keisel, offering to make his famous beard bigger after every 1,000 likes.

Evidently, Keisel’s beard is taking over the world. The post received so many likes, the beard couldn’t be contained any longer.

Hilariously, Keisel coined the Steelers as Earth’s Team following his beard being supersized. The former Super Bowl Champion got a kick out of the entire thing, responding with laughing face emojis on the tweets prior as well.

At the moment, the original tweet is up to over 24k likes. As you can see, it makes perfect sense why Keisel’s beard could be contained no longer.

Keisel was with the Steelers his entire career, giving everything to the city of Pittsburgh. From the time he was drafted out of BYU in 2002 to his retirement in 2014, he was the heart and soul of the Steelers defense.

Brett Keisel’s NFL Career

The bearded wonder ended his career with 30 sacks, his best season coming in 2010. That year, he was selected to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career.

Moreover, Keisel was present for both of the Steelers’ Super Bowl victories while Ben Roethlisberger was quarterbacking the team. The defensive end was part of one of the most successful eras in the history of the franchise.

Now, Keisel and his wife Sarah are involved with numerous charitable organizations. He’s made it one of his missions since his retirement to make the world a better place, something he did in Pittsburgh for over a decade.

While he’s known for his ability to grow a beautiful beard and rush the passer, his heart outweighs both of those abilities. As you can see, Brett Keisel will continue to be revered by Steelers fans everywhere for years to come.
