Former Texas running back Bijan Robinson has been working towards his NFL dreams for a while now, and on Thursday, they may become a reality. As the former Longhorns’ star has been preparing for his future in the NFL, he’s been gaining advice from some of the league’s best. And on the ‘Pat McAfee Show’, Robinson revealed that one Dallas Cowboys player has been particularly helpful through the process.

“Yeah so back in Austin I’ve been working out with Micah Parsons a lot and he’s been giving me a lot of advice in what I need to do, what I need to prepare for, whatever team I go to,” Robinson said. “Just find a veteran, find somebody to kind of link with because that’s the most important thing. And for him, that’s what he did, he saw what he needed to do in order to become successful. So him just giving me those type of tips.”

If Robinson is looking to be successful and make an impact as soon as he enters the NFL, Parsons is the perfect player to listen to. Parsons was selected No. 12 overall in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, and has been striking fear in defenses ever since. He secured the Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2021, earning Pro Bowl and First-team All-Pro honors in his first two lone seasons in the league.

But Robinson hasn’t just been getting sage advice from one of the NFL’s best current defensive players, but also from one of the best call carriers of all time.

“And I talked to Marshall Faulk, been talking to him a lot,” Robinson revealed. “He’s obviously a legend in the game, but he wants to make sure that I’m doing things the right way, and just meeting the right people, and making sure that I make sure every opportunity is taken the right way.”

Faulk also won the Rookie of the Year award on the offensive side of the ball, as his Hall of Fame career was highlighted by an amazing MVP season in 2000 where he also took home Super Bowl XXXIV. He rushed for over 1,000 yards in seven different seasons of his career, ranking 12th all-time in career rushing yards with 12,279.

“Those are two dudes that I’ve been talking to a lot, it’s definitely a blessing to get with those guys,” Robinson said.

Robinson has got it done on the field throughout his career and has been taking care of business off the field as he prepares for the draft. And now that he’s added advice from the league’s stars of the past and present, he may be set up to be the next star of the future.
