Foster Moreau's Saints teammates comfort him after critical drop vs Jaguars on TNF
Foster Moreau had a moment he’d like to forget quickly, but it will probably haunt him for quite some time. The veteran tight end dropped a critical pass in the closing moments of New Orleans’ 31-24 loss to Jacksonville on Thursday Night Football.
On a 3rd-and-goal with 30 seconds remaining, Saints quarterback Derek Carr found a wide open Moreau in the back of the end zone for what would have been a game-tying touchdown. But the tight end couldn’t hang on to the pass, bringing up 4th down.
Another pass fell incomplete and the Saints dropped the game, falling to 3-4 on the year. Below is video of Moreau’s blunder on Thursday night.
After dropping the pass, Moreau was clearly distraught. He was on the bench, helmet in his hands in disbelief. But several of his New Orleans teammates were there to pick him up.
Even in a tough situation, it shows Moreau has some pretty good teammates around him:
That would have been a great chance for Moreau to make a big splash with his new team. The tight end is in his first season with the Saints after spending the first four years of his NFL career with the Raiders.
