A camera at the Little League World Series got the worst of a foul ball. During a game between Curacao and Chinese Taipei, one of the cameras located behind home plate was absolutely obliterated.

A Curacao player was at the plate in the bottom of the fourth inning of a 0-0 game. Somehow, he perfectly fouled off a pitch, sending it directly into the camera lens. Needless to say, the device was completely destroyed.

It’s not something you see all that often. You could probably go through thousands of at-bats without seeing the same result. ESPN shared video of the incident on social media.

We’re guessing that was a pretty costly foul ball for ESPN. Those cameras aren’t exactly cheap. The price of covering the Little League World Series, apparently.

But that was just one crazy thing that unfolded during this year’s Little league World Series. The other also involved Curacao.

Karl Ravech’s all-time announcer’s jinx during LLWS

ESPN broadcaster Karl Ravech might be the most despite man in Curacao after his antics during the Little League World Series on Sunday. He might’ve hit the country with the all-time announcer’s jinx, assisting California to a victory.

In a fun final on Sunday, California (El Segundo) and Curacao traded punches throughout the game. Then, in the bottom of the sixth inning, Ravech made a grave error — well, if you’re from Curacao.

Ravech made the comment in a 5-5 ballgame that Curacao “has not allowed a home run at the World Series.” So, what happened next? You guessed it.

Louis Lappe homered in the bottom of the inning to give California the win in walk-off fashion. He couldn’t have tried to be jinxier (is that even a word) if he tried.

Awful Announcing shared the clip from Sunday’s Little League World Series final:

That will go down as one of the most incredible moments in the history of the Little League World Series. Both the walk-off home run and the jinx.

We’re not sure if Ravech believes in the good ol’ announcer’s jinx, but after Sunday, it’s hard to deny it, right?
