FOX Sports Mexico broadcast goes wild for Daniel Suárez calling photo finish at Atlanta
By now you have probably seen all of the angles and fan videos of Daniel Suárez winning a three-wide drag race to the line at Atlanta. However, the video you need to see and hear is the FOX Sports Mexico NASCAR broadcast.
The call was going to be epic no matter what, but having the pride of Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico at the front of the field made it that much better. The duo of Tony Rivera and Jessi Losada made for an awesome broadcast.
Many times, folks watching sports at home, connect their favorite memories with the call from the booth. A great broadcaster can elevate moments, make them seem even more important.
Last night, this finish needed no help. However, the energy from the booth is just too good. If this doesn’t get your blood pumping, I don’t know what will.
Daniel Suárez hasn’t always had the best results or the best luck in his NASCAR career. He is an Xfinity Series champion, which means a lot. However, he wants to become a Cup Series champion.
Just like he has his entire career, Suárez will have all of his amigos behind him, in Mexico and the United States.
Daniel Suárez isn’t happy with one win
With his win at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Daniel Suárez is now in the NASCAR Playoffs. He made the postseason in 2022 and finished 10th overall in the points. It was a solid season for him. 2023 was a bit of a letdown, though.

Now, two races into the season, Suárez has another victory and ideally, could now focus on the playoffs. However, he wants more than just a single win, the Trackhouse driver has big plans.
“I’m happy that we were able to do it early in the season because some people actually told me earlier, hey, now you can relax, you’re in the playoffs. Hell no,” Suárez said in the post-race press conference. “My goal is not to win one race. I want to head into the playoffs with at least a handful — with a few wins to be able to contend for a championship.
“This is not relaxing here. This is only the beginning. We have to continue to work, continue to build.”
Everything is open for Daniel Suárez now. He can make mistakes and be fine in the grand scheme of things this regular season. From here, everything else is just icing on top.
