Fox has updated their NASCAR Power Rankings following Ross Chastain’s thrilling win at Nashville.

The Watermelon Man rebounded from a slump to find victory in one of the best races of the season, fending off Martin Truex Jr. on his way to smashing his favorite fruit after taking the checkered flag. It’s been a bumpy season at times for Chastain, but Sunday’s victory was simply sweet.

It also helped him move back up to third in Fox’s NASCAR Power Rankings, a list he’s topped many times in 2023. Here’s the full list from Fox, and while there weren’t any changes at the top, there are plenty of differences throughout that’ll make your ears perk up.

Fox’s updated NASCAR Power Rankings following Ross Chastain’s Nashville victory:

  1. No. 19 Martin Truex Jr. (—)
  2. No. 5 Kyle Larson (—)
  3. No. 1 Ross Chastain (+3)
  4. No. 11 Denny Hamlin (+1)
  5. No. 8 Kyle Busch (-2)
  6. No. 24 William Byron (-2)
  7. No. 20 Christopher Bell (—)
  8. No. 12 Ryan Blaney (—)
  9. No. 9 Chase Elliott (NR)
  10. No. 4 Kevin Harvick (NR)

On the verge: No. 17 Chris Buescher, No. 88 Alex Bowman, No. 6 Brad Keselowski, No. 22 Joey Logano, No. 45 Tyler Reddick, No. 47 Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

As you can see, Martin Truex Jr.’s immense consistency is keeping him atop Fox’s rankings. Following an entire offseason of questions regarding whether he would return to the sport, it has to feel fantastic for the former NASCAR champion to be doing so well at the moment.

Following Truex Jr. is none other than Kyle Larson, who’s a couple of hard-luck results from absolutely dominating the 2023 season. If the Hendrick wheelman’s luck changes over the second half of the season, he could runaway with the title once again.

Outside of Chastain, the biggest mover was the Trackhouse Racing star’s former adversary in Denny Hamlin. The Joe Gibbs Racings wheelman moved up one spot, for No. 5 to No. 4 in Fox’s rankings, as he continues to climb up the standings.

Re-entering the Top 10 are Chase Elliott and Kevin Harvick. Both have found immense success at various points of the season, and now they’re putting themselves back on the map with their finishes.

With the sport turning it’s attention to the Chicago Street Race this weekend, it remains to be seen how much change will take place in Fox’s NASCAR Power Rankings, but your guess is as good as anyone’s as to how it’ll go.
