Frankie Muniz beside himself after another 'disaster' race at Kansas Speedway
Once again, Frankie Muniz found himself out early in an ARCA Menards Series race. This time at Kansas Speedway. It looked like luck was turning his way when series points leader Jesse Love dropped from the race. However, the NASCAR hopeful would soon find himself out of the race as well.
Although Frankie Muniz doesn’t have a win, this would have put him in a position, along with Christian Rose, to gain points on Love. Now it is wondering what went wrong and how you can avoid it moving forward.
Mechanical failures have been Muniz’s biggest gremlin this season. This time, he ended up collecting a piece of debris, it cut his right front, and then he went into the wall. By the time he got out of the car, it was on fire.
Before the interview on TV, Muniz called his season a “nightmare.” After such a strong start, it has been nothing but frustration in the last couple of months.
“It’s been really tough the last seven or so races we’ve had, we’ve had just really bad luck,” Muniz said. “I used to come to the track and we were exceeding expectations, it was a really positive beginning of the season, I felt like I was learning a lot. Really, minus Michigan, since Pocono, we’ve had disaster after disaster happen. A lot of it’s been out of my hands, unfortunately. Popping a tire at 200 miles an hour, nothing I can do about it. … Here I am watching from the outside again.”
This race would end with Connor Mosack earning his first career win. He lapped everyone except for second place! Once Jesse Love was out of the race, there were no drivers with a previous win still running. So, a first-time winner was guaranteed. Mosack took advantage and made the most of it.
Onto Bristol and then Salem and Toldeo to finish up the ARCA Menards Series. The West Series will have the Phoenix race to close out their season.

Frankie Muniz could use a break
Just when he thought he was going to make a run on the points leader, it was all taken away. The worst part about Frankie Muniz wrecking, it was one lap short of the race break. If he had just made it back around, he might have salvaged his day. A piece of debris separated him from what was likely another top-5 or top-10 finish.
Toni Breidinger went on to earn her best career finish in P3. She was the only car a lap down when the checkered flag waved. Everyone else was multiple laps down at that point. Muniz was running ahead of her for most of the race when he wrecked out.
So, what can we expect from Muniz for the rest of the season? He’s going to race and race hard every time he’s out there. Muniz has never raced at these last few tracks on the schedule, as is the norm with him for most of the season. He’s going to hope that he can get back to his top-10 and top-5 finishes.
Frankie Muniz has had bad luck. The thing about that, is luck turns around. When you race, there are ebbs and flows at times.
