Frankie Muniz gets surprisingly honest after DNF in NASCAR Truck race at Texas: 'Tough to stay motivated'

What started out as a promising rookie season has turned into a nightmare for Frankie Muniz after another DNF at Texas. Muniz hit the Turn 2 wall after blowing a tire tonight and ended his race 29 laps short of the NASCAR Truck Series finish.
The 39-year-old driver and actor has a limited window. He knows that at his age, his time to prove himself in this sport is now or never. Unforutnately, tonight, he suffered his fourth DNF of the season, finishing P25.
After exiting the care center, Muniz spoke to the media. As always, his passion shined, and he wore his emotions on his sleeve.
“Just right front blew. I just, I cannot, I can’t catch a break,” Muniz said, via Frontstretch. “You know what I mean? Let me wreck dudes, let me wreck myself, let me feel like I did something wrong but I – it’s hard to keep coming. And like, it’s not my team, it’s none us, it’s out of our control, and things just keep happening, and it’s really – it’s tough to stay motivated.
Honestly, I’ve got so much going on right now, and I’m like, man, give me a win. Like a win, like, feeling like we finished the race, I thought we were racing good and you know, doing alright. Just out of my control again. I’m over it, to be honest.”
Frankie Muniz went on to talk about his history of mechanical bugs and issues. He had many problems in the ARCA Menards Series when he was full-time in 2023.
There have also been several times this season and last year where mechanical issues, and not exactly race issues, have ended his days early. A tough year so far for Muniz as he balances two full-time careers.

Frankie Muniz heated over the radio at Texas
With less than 25 laps to go, Frankie Muniz found himself in the wall and out of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Texas. Muniz, always passionate on race day, was furious on the radio after the incident.
Frankie Muniz was having a strong run in his Reaume Brothers Racing truck. He was seriously looking at a top-20 run if he could put it all together in these last 20 laps or so. Well, he won’t get a chance. He blew a tire in Turn 2 and is out of the race.
Following his incident in Turn 2, Muniz was livid on the radio. He is always fiery and full of emotions, good or bad, and tonight is no different.
“It happened again!” Muniz shouted. “I’m f***ing tired of it! F***!” A frustrating end to the night for sure.
Tonight’s race has had a number of incidents. Texas Motor Speedway is a tough track. It is unique on both ends, and the surface is rough and unforgiving if you get yourself in a bad position. Corey Heim dominated and beat out last-minute challenges in a double overtime finish.
