Front Row Motorsports has announced that Noah Gragson, who signed a multiyear deal with the team this past July, will pilot the No. 4 Ford in 2025. The news came early on Friday morning.

Gragson will reunite with crew chief Drew Blickensderfer, who served atop his pit box in 2024. Blickensderfer previously worked for Front Row as Michael McDowell‘s crew chief, the two winning the 2021 Daytona 500.

“I’m grateful to have my crew chief, Drew, along with four members from last year’s team join Front Row Motorsports,” Gragson said in a statement. “This gives us a strong foundation to hit the ground running in the 2025 season.”

McDowell had been the star of Front Row but departed the team in favor of joining Spire Motorsports. Front Row has a new lineup in 2025: Todd Gilliland in the No. 34, Zane Smith in the No. 38 and now Gragson behind the wheel of the No. 4, a number which carries significant weight.

From 2014 until his retirement after the 2023 season, the No. 4 belonged to Kevin Harvick. The now FOX Sports analyst notched 37 of his 60 career Cup Series wins driving the No. 4 for Stewart-Haas Racing. Harvick won his first and only Cup championship in 2014.

Josh Berry, Gragson’s teammate this past season at Stewart-Haas, took over for Harvick in the No. 4 car in 2024. Now, it’s Gragson’s turn.

Noah Gragson gets a fresh start with Front Row

The 26-year-old had previous success in the Xfinity and Truck Series but is still looking for consistency in the Cup. Gragson has 61 Cup starts under his belt, tallying eight top 10s and one top 5. Seven of those top 10 finishes came this past season, a season in which he finished 24th in the points standings.

“It’s definitely exciting times,” Gragson said during his introductory press conference with Front Row, via NASCAR.com. “When we started out this year, I didn’t know how I was going to run. I didn’t know if I had the potential to run in the Cup Series just based off how the 2023 season went, and to be able to get my feet underneath me with the opportunity at Stewart-Haas, it definitely opened people’s eyes. And with the challenges that have come about with Stewart-Haas, we were looking for a home for a long time, and that’s when I got introduced to [co-owners] Bob [Jenkins] and Jerry [Freeze].

“Being able to sit down with them and talk and see what their goals were, what their vision was, and the thing that stuck out in my mind most importantly is what Jerry said when we met was Bob’s goal is to grow each and every year, and through the experiences that I’ve had in the last several years it’s been fun to challenge myself.”
