Future has not been shy when it comes to sharing his feelings about Russell Wilson. The rapper has made it known on multiple occasions that he isn’t a fan of the Broncos quarterback. Wilson is married to Ciara, who used to be in a relationship with Future and has a son with him.

The latest example of Future offering his thoughts on Wilson came on Friday when he and Quavo released the song “Turn Yo Clip Up.”

During the song, Future says in one of the verses: “I got it out the field, f*** Russell,” which appears to be in reference to Russell Wilson.

As mentioned, this is not the first time that Future has taken a shot at Wilson. According to E! Online, Future said of Wilson in 2019 “He do exactly what she tell him to do. He’s not being a man in that position.”

Ciara and Future first met in 2012 and started dating shortly thereafter. They got engaged in October of 2013 and a few months later Ciara announced that she was pregnant. Not long after their son was born, the two called off the wedding and broke up.

Last year, Ciara opened up about her breakup with Future and what her mindset was like afterwards.

“I told myself I’ve got to figure out how to navigate in the next chapter of my life,” she told Women’s Health. “All the things I was aspiring to have at that time, even thinking about love, I was like, ‘ It’s going to happened when it’s supposed to.’ But I can’t love anybody to the best of my ability if I’m not loving on myself. I can’t be the best mom if I’m not loving on myself. So I put more focus on me, taking care of me; it was the best thing I could have done.”

Wilson and Ciara reportedly began dating in 2015 and have been married since 2016. They have two kids together, in addition to Ciara and Future’s son.

Wilson started his career in Seattle after being selected in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

He was a part of one of the biggest trades in the NFL ahead of the 2022 season and ended up in Denver. The Broncos entered last season with high expectations, before Wilson struggled and Denver finished only 5-12. He is hoping to have a bounce-back season for the Broncos in 2023 after a disappointing first year in Denver.
