Garrett Wilson makes spectacular catch to tie Bills in fourth quarter
New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson tied Monday night’s game versus the Buffalo Bills with a remarkable touchdown catch late in the fourth quarter.
On 2nd-and-Goal from the 4-yard line, Zach Wilson tried throwing a back-shoulder pass to Wilson on the outside of the opposing defensive back. But he threw the ball right in between Wilson and the defensive back Tre’Davious White.
It was no matter for Garrett Wilson, who tapped the ball to himself and made the remarkable catch while falling down to the ground.
The touchdown and subsequent PAT tied the game at 13.
Both teams kicked a field goal in the final five minutes in the game, including a doinked-in 50-yarder by Bills kicker Tyler Bass to tie the game. Wilson had five catches prior to overtime for 34 yards and his one touchdown.
Prior to Garrett Wilson’s touchdown catch, Aaron Rodgers left with injiry
There was probably no worse possible start for the Aaron Rodgers era with the Jets than what happened Monday. On just the fourth play of New York’s fourth possession, Rodgers injured his ankle while being sacked by Leonard Floyd.

Rodgers did not return to the game. The X-rays have been reported to be negative but NFL insider Jordan Schultz reports that the Jets fear Rodgers suffered an Achilles injury.
ESPN insider Adam Schefter talked about the injury and the potential ramifications on the Monday Night Football halftime show.
“The X-rays were negative,” Schefter said. “But that doesn’t mean that there’s not a more severe injury. The Jets probably have a very good idea what’s wrong with Aaron Rodgers right now. He’s been ruled out for the rest of the game, he’ll be further tested tomorrow. I think when you talk to the people around the league — who have not examined him — there’s concern it could be a high-ankle sprain or an Achilles injury.
“The Achilles injury is the one that everybody worries about. There are doctors that saw the play that think they saw his calf reverberate on the play. If his calf reverberated, that’s a sign it could be an Achilles injury. I want to emphasize; we do not know exactly what it is. The Jets probably do and the fact that he’s in a boot is a bad sign. That fact that he’s been ruled out is a bad sign. The fact that he’s as old as he is, is a bad sign.”
