Gary Trent Jr. has agreed to a one-year deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported Tuesday.

Trent, 25, heads to Milwaukee after spending the last three plus seasons with the Toronto Raptors. Trent is one of the more reliable role guards in the league, posting averages of 16.2 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game over the last four seasons. He averaged 13.7 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per across 71 games with the Raptors in 2023-24. Trent is a lifetime 38.6% shooter from behind the arc.

The Bucks recruited Trent hard as the organization prepares to chase a championship next season. Trent sees himself reunited with Damian Lillard, who he played with in Portland for the first three years of his career.

The Trail Blazers selected Trent with the 37th overall selection in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft out of Duke. Trent, a former five-star recruit, played alongside fellow freshman standouts Marvin Bagley Jr., Wendell Carter Jr. and Trevon Duval, as well as senior guard Grayson Allen.
