George Kittle injury update: 49ers reveal TE's status for Seahawks matchup
The San Francisco 49ers have released their inactives list ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Seattle Seahawks — and tight end George Kittle has been revealed as inactive.
Kittle is dealing with a hamstring issue, but the inactive report is not all bad news for San Francisco, however. LT Trent Williams and DE Nick Bosa are active after dealing with respective ankle and hip injuries throughout the week.
49ers full inactive list:
QB Joshua Dobbs
CB Charvarius Ward
TE George Kittle
DL Kevin Givens
OL Ben Bartch
DL Khalil Davis
WR Ronnie Bell
Seattle Seahawks inactives:
CB Nehemiah Pritchett
TE Brady Russell
LB Trevis Gipson
G Sataoa Laumea
WR Dareke Young
TE Noah Fant
DE Myles Adams
Despite the 49ers’ struggles in 2024, Kittle is having a strong first half of the season. Through eight games, Kittle has caught 43 passes for 560 yards and seven touchdowns.

Kittle recently spoke to reporters about his goals for the rest of the 2024 season.
“My No. 1 objective is stay healthy for the whole season because if I’m healthy, I can help our team win a Super Bowl,” Kittle said. “Besides that, the 49ers — us as a team — our goal is to win the Super Bowl.
“We have the team for it, we have the athletes for it, we have the coaches for it. We have everything we need, we just need to go out and make plays, stay healthy, and win games.”
At 5-4, San Francisco is in fair chape to return to the playoffs in 2025. The 49ers came up short of Kittle’s championship aspirations last season against the Kansas City Chiefs, and will hope they can make it back to the postseason to defend their title of reigning NFC Champions.
That effort starts on Sunday against the Seahawks. Kickoff is set for 4:05 p.m. ET and will air live on FOX. Despite Kittle’s absence, San Francisco is a six-point favorite over Seattle inside Levi’s Stadium.
