As the book closes on the 2024 college football season, it’s time to look ahead towards some of the incredible matchups that’ll begin the 2025 campaign, like the Week 1 showdown between Georgia Tech and Colorado.

With that in mind, FanDuel Sportsbook has provided a look at some early lines, and they believe in the Yellow Jackets, as Georgia Tech is a 4.5-point favorite over the Buffaloes at the moment. Additionally, they’re -176 on the money-line, while Colorado is +146. The over/under is currently set at 56.5 points.

Evidently, FanDuel believes Georgia Tech can start their season off with a bang, as the oddsmakers have the Yellow Jackets starting their season 1-0 after their trip to Boulder on Aug. 30, 2025. Last season, Brent Key led his team to a 7-5 regular season, but they couldn’t close the deal during their bowl game, as they fell by eight to the Vanderbilt Commodores in the Birmingham Bowl.

In 2024, Georgia Tech started their season off with a bang, victorious over Florida State in Ireland during Week 0, a result that sent the Seminoles into a tailspin. While they ended up with some unsavory losses throughout the season, the Yellow Jackets captured some other impressive wins, like their victory on Nov. 9 over Miami.

Additionally, they captured the attention of the college football world when they only lost by one to rival Georgia in an eight-overtime thriller. Georgia Tech had their fair share of chances to pull a monstrous upset, but they fell just short of a game-changing win.

Meanwhile, Deion Sanders‘ Colorado squad was one of the surprise teams in 2024, as they took another step forward last season. The Buffaloes finished their regular season 9-3, before a tough loss to the BYU Cougars in the Alamo Bowl took place.

The challenge for Coach Prime will be replacing the immense talent heading to the NFL from Boulder. His quarterback and son, Shedeur Sanders, won’t be there, and neither will reigning Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter. It’ll be up to some new stars to carry the flag for Colorado moving forward.

Time will tell if Deion Sanders can continue getting the best out of his team, but it’ll certainly be motivating that they’re home underdogs against Georgia Tech in Week 1. When Aug. 30 rolls around, the clash between the Yellow Jackets and the Buffaloes will be can’t-miss.
