No. 1 Georgia defeated 14th-ranked Clemson 34-3 on Saturday, ultimately controlling the game in the second half to come away with a massive Week 1 victory. In Week 2, the Bulldogs will battle Tennessee Tech in the home opener.
For the Golden Eagles, they enter Sanford Stadium 0-1 after losing to Middle Tennessee 32-25 on Saturday.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Bulldogs are expected to win big against Tennessee Tech. Georgia is a 53.5-point betting favorite over the Golden Eagles while the over/under point total is set at 62.5.
The Bulldogs-favored lines come after quarterback Carson Beck threw for 278 yards and a pair of touchdowns against Clemson on Saturday. Defensively, Georgia held Dabo Swinney’s Tigers to 189 total yards — including 47 rushing yards — while forcing two turnovers on the day.

“Once we got in that second half, looking at the iPad, seeing what they were doing against us, it was everything that we saw on film that we watched from last year,” Beck said postgame. “So we just kind of deciphered which ways we wanted to attack them and maybe tried to be a little bit more aggressive coming out at the half, and I think we did a really good job of that.
“We got on the perimeter, had some good perimeter runs and were able to throw the ball down the field a little bit, and that ultimately ended up opening things up for us.”
Running back Trevor Etienne served a suspension during this game, so true freshman Nate Frazier earned the bulk of Georgia’s carries on Saturday. He took 11 rushes for 83 yards and a touchdown during his collegiate debut.
After the game, head coach Kirby Smart would not comment on whether Etienne would return for this matchup, although it appears Frazier can be reliable in his place.
