Georgia is coming off one of the most insane contests of the season, only the second game in modern college football history to go to eight overtimes. The Bulldogs needed every one of them.
Georgia Tech made life tough on Georgia by introducing a healthy amount of quarterback running by Haynes King, who had an all-time performance against the Bulldogs. Still, Georgia won the war of attrition to preserve its College Football Playoff hopes.
Many analysts have suggested that Georgia is already in the playoff field. And while that’s certainly possible, there does exist an outside scenario that a blowout loss in the SEC Championship Game could eliminate the Bulldogs still. That’s a long shot, though, and the Vegas expectation for the score of the SEC Championship Game illustrates that.
Vegas expects a reasonably tight game between Georgia and Texas.
