Grant DuBose injury update: Mike McDaniel offers update on Dolphins WR after scary head injury
Miami Dolphins (6-8) head coach Mike McDaniel said the team has received “positive feedback” on the health status of receiver Grant DuBose after he underwent head and neck imaging, per Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.
DuBose suffered a head injury in the third quarter of Sunday’s 20-12 Week 15 road defeat to the Houston Texans (9-5), transported to the Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston for further evaluation. He will remain at the hospital overnight, McDaniel said.
DuBose, activated off injured reserve to make his third appearance of the season, stayed on the field for a significant amount of time as medical personnel tended to him. DuBose’s jersey had to be cut off and his facemask unscrewed as both teams huddled and prayed around him. A neck brace was placed around DuBose’s head, and the 23-year-old was taken away in an ambulance.

Though he led the Texans to their second consecutive victory, quarterback C.J. Stroud‘s focus was on DuBose while speaking with CBS Sports after the game.
“First, I just wanna send prayers to Grant [DuBose]. Tough situation right there,” Stroud said. “Hoping that he’s okay. Praying for his recovery and he can get back on the field. Glory all goes to Jesus Christ.”
