For the second time in his career, Grant Enfinger wins at his home track in Alabama! Enfinger gets the job done at Talladega. This has been quite a season for the CR7 driver and now he is heading to the NASCAR Championship 4 in Phoenix.

Grant Enfinger held a steady wheel and put it across the line for the win as the field wrecked behind him. Tyler Ankrum made a strong move and it was too much from the outside line.

Even when it felt like chaos would rule the day, Enfinger remained calm, cool and collected, and he’s got another Talladega win. Major for him and his team.

“That’s Tim Fedewa, right there,” Enfinger credited his spotter. “We knew this stuff was going to get dicey, the biggest thing, we didn’t make all the perfect decisions today … we had a Champion Power Equipment Chevy that was fast enough to get it done today. So, even though we chose the outside once or twice and maybe we shouldn’t have or whatever, that was hairy coming right there,” Enfinger said watching the finish for the first time live.

“Knew Taylor was coming with a run. Tim told me to come up then told me to come down. That’s just Talladega right there. So, hopefully, all the fans enjoyed it. It’s nothing like winning at your hometown, home track. I got my family here, first win with my daughter and my son here. Looking forward to that, and just, on top of that we get to race for a championship in Phoenix.”

So, two more race in the Round of 8. There is a two-week break and then the Truck Series returns at Homestead-Miami.

Grant Enfinger wins, punches ticket to Phoenix

Right now it looks like there is only one spot truly open for the Championship 4. Grant Enfinger is locked in with the win at Talladega today. Both Christian Eckes and Corey Heim, favorites this season to win the title, are +30 on the cutline.

That is a fairly safe cushion heading to Homestead. However, Ty Majeski is only +5 to the cutline. Rajah Caruth is now -5 with Taylor Gray, Nick Sanchez, and Tyler Ankrum following at -13, -20, and -21 points.

Majeski has won at Homestead before. Last year, Caruth actually beat Majeski at the track. However, due to stage points, Majeski scored 13 more points than Caruth. So, it won’t be as simple as just beating the 98.

A spot in the Championship 4 can be career-changing. All it takes is one great race at Phoenix to become a champion. Grant Enfinger is going back after coming up short in 2023. Will he be the one to upset the favorites and win the Truck Series championship?
