Grant Enfinger wins chaotic Toyota 200 after late cautions at WWT Raceway
Once again, Grant Enfinger is in Victory Lane this season. Another Craftsman Truck Series win and a bonus of $50,000 for the Triple Truck Challenge. Not a bad day at the race track for Enfinger and crew. Not only did Enfinger come away with a win, he was able to announce that he and his wife are expecting another child soon. What a weekend for the NASCAR driver.
This race was not Grant Enfinger’s race to win. At least, it didn’t look like it was at first. Zane Smith and Ty Majeski were really fast and with a restart with 10 laps to go, it looked like they would drive away with it. Unfortunately, Majeski just couldn’t hold onto it and he and Smith took on some major damage.
With the leaders dumped out of the race, Enfinger was there to pick up the pieces and speed his way around the track to the win. A major victory for the 38-year-old driver. With wins at Kansas and World Wide Technology Raceway, Enfinger is in contention for the championship.
This race had a lot of fast trucks. There were moments where you could have seen Carson Hocevar racing for the win or perhaps Matt DiBenedetto. There is just something about being in the right place at the right time. Enfinger is a veteran, he’s been around the Truck Series for 152 races. He knows how to close out a race when given the opportunity.
The GMS Racing team had some mixed results with Daniel Dye and Rajah Caruth finding some bright spots here and there. But it was the 23 of Grant Enfinger that got the job done on Saturday.

Grant Enfinger wins messy Toyota 200
There are times when you are surprised by the Truck Series. Today was not one of those days. It was the stereotypical race for the series. Lots of wrecks, spins, and questionable moments. That doesn’t take away from Grant Enfinger’s win, but it is worth noting how messy it was in the Toyota 200.
When you’ve got 200 miles of racing and double-digit cautions, it just muddies things up. Towards the end of the race, it looked like cautions were breeding cautions. Hailie Deegan took a hard hit shortly after the race was halfway through. It was a poor move from Nick Sanchez, who drove right into Deegan and put her into the wall.
Before the final restart, Lawless Alan spun out and brought out the caution. That second-to-last restart is where Majeski got too frisky and took out himself and Zane Smith. Sometimes, you live and you learn
Instead of a win for the reigning Truck Series champion, it is a win for the wily veteran, Grant Enfinger.
