Grant Holloway wins gold medal in 110m hurdles at Paris Olympics
A quick and stunning 110mh final for the men in Paris! Grant Holloway retakes the crown, solidifying his legacy. Paris has been so kind to Team USA, and now Holloway avenges his silver medal finish from Tokyo.
The final featured three Americans, three Jamaicans, and a single athlete from Spain and Japan. Daniel Roberts and Freddie Crittenden filled out the field a couple of lanes on either side of Grant Holloway.
With Hansle Parchment looking to defend his gold medal, Holloway’s performance today is even more impressive. Three world championships, Olympic silver, and now gold, for the former Florida Gator. 12.99 to win the gold.

Grant Holloway has now achieved everything in the short hurdle sprints. Both indoor and outdoor. World championship, an Olympic gold and a silver, the 60m hurdles indoor world record and No. 2 all-time outdoors in the 110m hurdles.
The Flamingo is the best hurdler in the world once again. The nightmare that was Tokyo in 2021 is now over. Holloway overcame the doubters and the cloud over his head to accomplish the one goal that had evaded him. The final championship. It is now his.
At 26 years old, Grant Holloway is going to have enough gas in the tank to make it to Los Angeles. Hell, he might make it to the 2032 games depending on how his health goes over the next decade.

The only thing that Holloway could do now, is to break the world record. Aries Merrit was 27 when he did it, Holloway is 26 now. Will we ever see him take down Merrit’s time and be the first athlete to run under 12.80 seconds in the 110m hurdles?
Coming into these games, the Tokyo silver was all anyone could talk about when it came to Holloway. Even though he has more than proven himself since then, it was a big accolade missing from his portfolio.
Now, Holloway is an Olympic champion. He has had one of the most dominating careers from NCAA to international competition. An all-time great, and someone we are all lucky to watch perform.
So, the hurdles have come and gone. Another day on the track comes to an end. Paris has been kind to Team USA. Before Holloway took the track, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone captured another gold medal and world record in the 400m hurdles.
Not a bad night in France for the hurdlers of the United States.
