Here’s hoping injuries don’t impact Davante Adams’ play Monday in the Packers-Raiders game. It’s the first time the receiver has faced his old team since Green Bay traded him to Las Vegas last season.

According to the Raiders final injury report, Adams is questionable with a shoulder issue for the Monday Night Football game against the Packers. He didn’t practice for two days and was limited Saturday.

Adams spent eight seasons in Green Bay, earning first-team All Pro in three of them. Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander really wants to defend against his old teammate. But, again, injuries might spoil that matchup, too. The Packers say Alexander also is questionable with a back issue. He was limited in all three practices this week, including Saturday.

And it’ll be really too bad if these two don’t play or are limited. Here’s how Alexander described it earlier this week.

“I wouldn’t say it’s like the Super Bowl or the playoffs, but it’s kinda like that. It is what it is. I can’t miss this matchup with the best,” Alexander told reporters. “I circled it way back a few months ago.”

He added: “It’s pretty evident, he’s the best. I could go on and on, but he’s the best, I’m going to leave it at that. … It’s a mouth-piece-in all game type of game. Not too much to say, just go out there and do it.”

Meanwhile, the Raiders will have the services of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. He missed the start last Sunday because of a concussion.
