Things simply couldn’t get much worse for the Green Bay Packers against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football. First, rookie linebacker Quay Walker was ejected from the game due to an unsportsmanlike penalty when he shoved Buffalo Bills practice squad tight end, Zach Davidson. Then, Packers’ linebacker De’Vondre Campbell left the game with what appeared to be a right knee injury. He left the field with ice on the injured knee and did not return. NBC’s Melissa Stark reported in the fourth quarter that Campbell had officially been ruled out of Sunday night’s game.

Obviously, his loss was huge, and the Packers didn’t have their starting two linebackers against one of the best teams in the league. Both teams suffered plenty of injuries in Sunday night’s game. Packers’ wide receiver Christian Watson suffered a concussion early in the first quarter and was ruled out.

Green Bay actually made things interesting late in the game, but the final result of the game was never really in doubt. To the Packers’ credit, they did so while being shorthanded and dealing with multiple injuries at a number of positions.

Green Bay trailed 24-7 at halftime and appeared to be well on their way to getting blown out. The Packers cut the lead to 27-17 in the fourth quarter. That would end up being the final score as the Bills prevailed, 27-17.

The Packers remain winless all-time in Orchard Park, the home of the Buffalo Bills. The Bills are the only team in the NFL that Green Bay has not beaten on the road.

The Packers will look to rebound next weekend against the Detroit Lions. That one will be on Sunday, Nov. 6. Kickoff is slated for 1:00 PM EST on FOX.
